In Tharakpur village panchayat of Masturi block of Bilaspur district, the women of Maa Gayatri self-help group joined Gauthan and started production of vermicompost, super compost, earthworms, from which they are earning well. Along with economic empowerment, these women are becoming examples in the direction of self-reliance.
Received a profit of Rs.2.50 lakhs
Vibhuti Kaushik, president of the group, told that vermicompost is a good option for farmers moving towards organic farming. So far he has sold 753 quintals of vermi-fertilizer and 370 quintals of super-compost manure, which has earned him a profit of about Rs.2.50 lakh.

With the profit he got, he got his house repaired. Other women are also using the income earned to meet their children’s education and other needs. Thanking the state government for this ambitious scheme, the women have said that Chief Minister Baghel has opened the way for the progress of the village by starting the Godhan Nyaya Yojana.

Godhan Nyaya Yojana has worked to bring prosperity in the lives of the villagers. The economic activities going on here have also proved helpful in improving the livelihood of the villagers. Cattle breeder Latel Puri Goswami told that cow dung worth Rs 10,000 has been sold by him in Gauthan. Villager Ramkumar Patel expressed happiness that he has sold cow dung worth Rs 35,000 so far.
